GIVEAWAY #17 – Who is Outspokenly Pro-Life from "Raymond"?
In one of Paul and Heather's favorite TV shows, "Everybody Loves Raymond", you'll find a star who, in real life, is very vocally pro-life. This celebrity is unashamed of the pro-life movement and often speaks out against those who believe abortion is a good thing for America or women. In a reply to this email, name both this person's character name on the show and his or her name in real life (first & last name for both). The first three respondents with the correct answer will win a large "Vote for Jesus" t-shirt in "Vote for Pedro" fashion.

Dissecting "The Da Vinci Code" Book and the soon-to-be-released movie – Although it's an incredible work of fiction, unfortunately Dan Brown's book has caused many to seriously doubt the mission and person of Jesus. No matter the author's intent, some have even likened the effects of this book to what happened in Nazi Germany after the general public viewed "comic-strip" propaganda about the Jews. Get informed so you can be knowledgeable when friends, classmates and family members bring up the book or go to see the movie.
Da Vinci Outreach includes Teacher resources for the classroom and all the material needed for a "Da Vinci Discussion" evening at parishes.

*Spreading the message of the Gospel is easy and non-threatening when you do it like you're fishing – throw out bait (invitations, a comment about your own faith journey, a book, etc.) and then wait to see if they "nibble". If they're interested, draw them closer to the truth of Christ within you. But, never shove faith down their throats (like you wouldn't shove worms down a fish's mouth).

HOW CAN I STOP THINKING ABOUT MY EX?
Dear Heather – My boyfriend of 6 months recently broke up with me and I'm having a very hard time letting go. I prayed that God would help me, but I can't stop thinking about him and can't stand seeing him with other girls. We stayed friends since we started as friends. What can I do to get over him? – Sincerely, Heart-broken

As a senior citizen was driving down the freeway, his car phone rang.
Answering, he heard his wife's voice urgently warning him, "Herman, I just heard on the news that there's a car going the wrong way on HWY 280. Please be careful!"
"Hey!", said Herman, "It's not just one car. It's HUNDREDS of them!"
DON'T DRUGS "BROADEN YOUR HORIZONS"?
Dear Paul, My friend is using drugs with the excuse that he's "broadening his horizons". I don't agree with him, but I'm not exactly sure why. Can you help me understand why it's not a good idea for me to start and give him some reasons to consider quitting?
Dear Friend –
"Broadening your horizons" is a good thing. Live life to the fullest, abundantly, as Jesus encourages in the Gospel. Go to a state park, visit the homeless, travel to a new amusement park or try a new sport or hobby you've never considered before. Illegal drugs, however, have nothing to do with living life to the fullest. From someone who has used many excuses for using drugs, let me explain why…complete response
Hot Teen Issues
Drugs often seem to be an issue. Finally, a government campaign against drugs that's not only interesting, but also amusing. Check out one of our new favorite websites: Above the Influence – Don't miss the commercials at the bottom
"We as Americans are completely obsessed and wrapped up in a lot of the wrong values-looking good, having cash in the bank, being perceived as rich, famous and successful or just being famous. It's the most superficial part of the American dream and who would know better than me? The only thing that's going to bring you happiness is love and how you treat your fellow man and having compassion for one another" – Madonna, quoted by Reuters, April 24, 2003.

A Window into the MySpace Generation – A great article for parents, teachers and youth ministers who want to know what's up with one of the most popular teen websites. "A decade ago I would have told you that if you wanted to get to know a kid, ‘Go look at his/her bedroom.' Now I'd tell you to look at their MySpace page."
College Transition Initiative – One of our favorite sites, CPYU, is helping parents, teachers and youth workers best prepare high school seniors for making the jump into college. They've stocked with articles, trends, resources and ideas for keeping our loved ones spiritually and emotionally healthy.

Elevator Entertainment – Eight Crazy Things to Do in an Elevator…
- When there's only one other person in the elevator, tap him on the shoulder and then pretend it wasn't you.
- Push the buttons and pretend they give you a shock. Smile, and go back for more.
- Ask if you can push the button for other people, but push the wrong ones.
- Call the Psychic Hotline from your cell phone and ask if they know what floor you're on.
- Hold the doors open and say you're waiting for a friend. After a while, let the doors close, and say, "Hi Greg. How's your day been?"
- Swat at flies that don't exist.
- Make explosion noises when anyone presses a button.
- Stare, grinning at another passenger for a while, and then announce, "I have new socks on."
